Forgetting time around the clock
The holiday organisation REKA operates 12 holiday villages in Switzerland, which focus primarily on creating unique holiday experiences for families. Increasingly, these holiday villages are no longer differentiated solely by their location, but also by an independent theme. Guests can experience these through themed installations in the living, service, playing and activity areas, giving each resort an individual character.
Embedded in the Jurassic landscape, the Reka Holiday Village Montfaucon impresses with its excellent location and the far-reaching view including the Bernese Alps. With a themed playground including a multifunctional clock tower as a landmark as well as a partnership with the watch manufacturer Tissot, the resort is already clearly positioned with the main theme of "time". During current renovation measures, 12 residential units were also redesigned and the ideal opportunity came up to stage these living areas in a powerful and profile-forming manner.
Together with the customer, Erlebnisplan developed an imagineering concept that allows the four regional core themes of the Jura, watchmaking, biking and horses to be experienced under the overall philosophy of "time". The installations include both the exterior and interior areas and it is planned to further implement these in the other units during the upcoming years. During the implementation phase, Erlebnisplan was responsible for the planning, implementation support and construction management of the entire project.
